Bawak kereta, hati mo tetap Lin.

Not a day has passed since my grandpa's passing that I don't think of him. In fact every time I come to a junction I can almost hear him. This was what he told me on my maiden drive with him in the passenger's seat.

"  Bawak kereta, hati mo tetap Lin. Kalau hati agak-agak ,  lu jangan kuler sempang. Biar lain kereta lalu dulu. Bila hati tetap baru lu jalan "
[When you drive, you need to be very sure in your heart. (that it is safe to turn out at a junction) If you doubt, you should not turn out. Wait for the road to be clear, then when you have no more doubt then you continue.]

" Bawak kereta bawak pelan-pelan , bawak cermat. Buat apa mo bawak laju-laju. Kasi signal jangan lupa "
[ Drive slowly and with caution. Do not be in a hurry and never forget to turn on the indicator before you switch lanes.]

He left me many memories.

These ones on driving replays itself in my head all the time I am at the back of the wheel. Me in my new Saga and Kong-kong in the passenger's seat.

Although I miss him, he is much alive in my heart.

    I was four and could get away with anything. I was his grandchild.
