We may meet many different people everyday, and if you are like me the people I meet everyday are mostly work colleagues and students I teach. Once in a while we bump into acquaintances or long time friends, take a short pause and after a little casual conversation we bit goodbye, part ways and continue in the fast moving stream of our everyday lives. We get carried away in the current together with the familiar everyday people in our pool as we navigate the day and end the week.
Once a while I get to meet strangers , the everyday people. To me the everyday people are best teachers.
Everyday people are the random people - travelers, people standing together in a queue, shopkeepers, janitors, man on the street - just normal everyday people going about their everyday life. These are the people who often I find have the best stories to tell if only I lingered long enough to listen closely or observe with an open mind. Because everyday people are just so random, they perspectives are so random, their life situations are random, hopes, dreams, ideals, opinions and wants are so randomly different.
That is why everyday people makes the best teachers. Everybody are teachers, and when another person has taught me something, I am indebted and grateful for that life's lesson.
This blog is my attempt to remember all the everyday people and the lessons they taught me.
